Children are some of our favorite people! We take the time to let your child get to know us. Your child's first dental visit, recommended at the age of 2 or 3 years, usually involves a tour of the office and a ride in the dental chair.
Your child's first visit will focus on making their first experience to the dentist a positive one. Children need to develop their own attitude about dentistry.
Try not to impose your feelings on your child. Treat the dental visit as mildly as you would a visit to the grocery store. An innocent phrase such as “it won’t hurt” will only leave your child remembering the “hurt” portion of the phrase. Feel free to consult us to describe any dental procedure used in the office. We will be happy to help you and your child toward a healthy dental future.
We will help your child to have the best chance to grow up cavity-free by encouraging good brushing and flossing habits and providing fluoride and tooth sealants when necessary.
We want your children to have good dental health. Unfortunately, we see numerous children with severe dental decay who are in pain. We want our patients to be cavity-free, then they can avoid those fillings, crowns, root canals and extractions! Therefore, it is extremely important that children come to the dentist at an early age. If your child has treatment needs, we have a wide variety of options to make your child have the best experience possible.
In office sedation or general anesthesia in a hospital setting is an option that you can choose for carrying out the planned procedures.
